1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Ottawa Region Roleplay services, creating an account, joining any Ottawa Region Roleplay community platform, or participating in any associated activity, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of Ottawa Region Roleplay services immediately.

2. Community Standards & Conduct

Users are expected to maintain respectful and lawful conduct within all Ottawa Region Roleplay services and platforms.

• Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, threats, stalking, or abusive behavior are prohibited.
• Attempting to disrupt gameplay, services, infrastructure, or community operations is prohibited.
• Exploiting bugs, loopholes, unauthorized modifications, cheats, or malicious software may result in immediate permanent removal.
• Impersonation of staff members, developers, law enforcement, or other users is prohibited.
• Staff retain full discretion regarding moderation decisions and enforcement actions.

3. Account Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their accounts, credentials, linked services, and devices.

Ottawa Region Roleplay and Parthenais Co. are not responsible for unauthorized access caused by compromised credentials, shared accounts, malware, phishing attempts, or user negligence.

4. Suspension & Termination

Ottawa Region Roleplay reserves the right to suspend, restrict, terminate, or permanently ban access to any user, account, device, or associated platform at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.

Appeals may be reviewed at staff discretion; however, no user is entitled to reinstatement, compensation, explanation, or continued access to services.

5. Intellectual Property

Ottawa Region Roleplay branding, graphics, website content, custom assets, server configurations, written materials, and media are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and remain the property of Ottawa Region Roleplay, Parthenais Co., or their respective owners.

Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, scraping, resale, copying, or commercial use of community assets is prohibited.

6. User Generated Content

By submitting content to Ottawa Region Roleplay, including posts, comments, media, usernames, avatars, or appeal submissions, you grant Ottawa Region Roleplay and Parthenais Co. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, moderate, reproduce, and distribute that content within community services.

7. Privacy & Canadian Compliance

Ottawa Region Roleplay may collect limited personal information necessary for operation of community services, including usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, browser information, Discord identifiers, Steam identifiers, Minecraft usernames, moderation records, and website usage information.

Information is collected and processed in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy principles, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), where applicable.

• Collected information may be used for account management, moderation, security, analytics, fraud prevention, and service administration.
• Moderation records and ban histories may be retained indefinitely for community protection purposes.
• Ottawa Region Roleplay may use third-party providers including Discord, hosting companies, analytics providers, and game platform services.
• Users acknowledge that data transmitted online may not be fully secure.
• While reasonable safeguards may be implemented, Ottawa Region Roleplay and Parthenais Co. cannot guarantee absolute data security.

8. Cookies & Analytics

Ottawa Region Roleplay services may utilize cookies, sessions, local storage, analytics tools, or similar technologies to improve functionality, maintain login sessions, detect abuse, monitor platform performance, and enhance user experience.

9. Third-Party Services

Ottawa Region Roleplay integrates with or relies upon third-party platforms and providers including but not limited to Discord, FiveM, Rockstar Games, Steam, Minecraft, hosting providers, analytics services, and cloud infrastructure providers.

10. Limitation of Liability

Ottawa Region Roleplay, Parthenais Co., its owners, administrators, staff, developers, volunteers, affiliates, contractors, and service providers shall not be liable for any damages, losses, claims, liabilities, emotional distress, data loss, lost profits, reputational harm, interruptions, or indirect damages arising from use of community services.

11. Availability of Services

Ottawa Region Roleplay does not guarantee uninterrupted access, uptime, functionality, compatibility, or long-term availability of any website, server, feature, or platform.

12. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ottawa Region Roleplay, Parthenais Co., its owners, staff, affiliates, volunteers, contractors, and service providers against claims, liabilities, damages, legal fees, or losses arising from violations of these Terms & Conditions or misuse of services.

13. Changes to These Terms

Ottawa Region Roleplay reserves the right to modify, update, replace, or remove portions of these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Ottawa Region Roleplay is owned and operated by Parthenais Co.

Any dispute, claim, controversy, complaint, or legal disagreement relating to Ottawa Region Roleplay, Parthenais Co., its staff, services, moderation actions, websites, platforms, or these Terms shall be resolved through confidential binding private arbitration where permitted by law.

Users waive the right to initiate or participate in lawsuits, class actions, representative proceedings, or jury trials against Ottawa Region Roleplay or Parthenais Co.
